Tom Cruise has reportedly said that he will eat the baby's placenta once Katie Holmes gives birth to it.
“I’m gonna eat the placenta, too. I thought that would be good. Very nutritious. I’m going to eat the cord and the placenta right there.”
Coming from an Asian culture, I am hardly ever shocked at such weird practices. In our world, the placenta is a well-known nutritious element. My cousin even uses some sort of hair cream which is made from placenta and it is, allegedly, very good.
But they never said anything about eating your own baby's placenta. I think that we draw the line at some point, which probably makes our entire race more civilised than Tom Cruise.
Of course there is the chance that he may be just cracking another one of his creepy jokes, but it's much more fun to pretend that he is really just crazy.
