Here's a fun idea: wouldn't it be great if you could hear what pop singers really sound like in concert?
After years of idolizing the idea of a live show, with rock acts performing fearsome concerts, we've moved ahead to the idea of plastic entertainers: pretty faces lip-synching to recorded studio albums.
Britney Spears is famous for this - professional singers understand that she's not really a talented singer, and just a vehicle for some derivative music. Still, her concerts sell out, with her fans paying armfuls of money just to hear her pretend to sing and make sexually suggestive dance moves.
This video lets us hear the audio from her mike, which, of course, the audience doesn't get to hear.
It's horrifyingly bad. It's like listening to one of your drunk friends sing in the shower, but erratically and while slipping on a bar of soap.
