The Signal - New Trailer

The Signal is transmitting
All signals say that the new low budget sci fi horror film The Signal should penetrate the nervous system. Making a shuddering debut at Sundance last year it was swiftly picked up by Magnolia Pictures. Now nearly 12 months after the purchase date the film is getting a limited U.S. release.
An interesting concept, this is a story told in 3 separate character chapters by a trio of Directors, unknowns Dan Bush, David Brukner and Jacob Gentry. The basic plot outline sees the people of the world mutated into rampaging homicidal maniacs when exposed to an enigmatic signal from an unknown source. First rendering all communications technology impotent the signal gradually influences human psychology.
Sounding like a cross between David Cronenberg’s Shivers and Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, this could have some teeth. The NEW trailer below emotes urgency through camera and editing. The acting seems plausible and if the dialogue has the same organic natural feel we could have an intense hit of terror.
The Signal stars Aj Bowen, Cheri Chritian, Lindsay Garrett, Chad McKnight and a host of unseen faces which should work to it’s favour in convincing us of the fictional reality.
