Stephen Colbert - The Lego Edition
August 22nd 2007 02:15
Stephen Colbert gets Legoed.
Denmark keeps its windmills but exports the internationally renowned interlocking building bricks known as Lego. Evidently becoming more versatile with age some have made it their life's work to construct artistic 3 dimensional renderings from the colorful plastic product.
Last night on the Colbert report host Stephen the right wing satirist interviewed one of the most famous of these creative sculptures. Nathan Sawayar left a successful career as a high priced corporate lawyer to pursue his passion for creative expression with the blocks.
In the video below it appears the crazy kid has a lot of times on his hands and we get some samples of his work, (Which can fetch $30000 each) including a life size Stephen Colbert that is eerily close to the real thing.
Sadly there is no embedded code for this one yet because it only just aired in the states so please click the link HERE to soak up this bizarrely inspiring clip.
