Saw IV new movie poster released

Well, every year there's a new Saw movie, and this year is no different.

It's franchise moviemaking at its most efficient! After all, if they waited longer, the public's collective memory would forget all about these ineffective, predictable movies and just go watch something else. Like an animated movie about a -let's see- platypus that gets lost in an auto garage and has to get home with the help of his plucky, um, praying mantis.

So, start the torturing, because Saw IV is on its way, and there's nothing better to turn you off your lunch than a decapitated head:

Saw 4 IV movie poster

What happens in this one? Well, according to Wikipedia:

"Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) and his apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith) are dead.

Upon the news of Detective Kerry (Dina Meyer)'s murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm (Scott Patterson) and Agent Perez (Athena Karkanis), arrive at the depleted police precinct and help veteran Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) sift through Jigsaw's latest grizzly game of victims and piece together the puzzle.

However, when SWAT Commander Rigg (Lyriq Bent), the last officer untouched by Jigsaw, is suddenly abducted and thrust into the madman's harrowing game, the officer has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of interconnected traps... or face the deadly consequences. Rigg's citywide pursuit leaves a wake of dead bodies, and Detective Hoffman and the FBI uncover long hidden clues that lead them back to Jigsaw's ex-wife Jill (Betsy Russell). The genesis of Jigsaw's evil is unveiled, exposing the puppet master's true intentions and the sinister plan for his past, present and future victims.[14][2]"

Ah, there's nothing better than the old I'm-dead-but-now-you're-in-my -web-of-pain-and-murder scheme. I can't wait till I'm a criminal mastermind. Then I'll show you. All of you.

Just like Land Before Time 4
It does not live upto the original.
The Hype was over hyped.

Then again I never felt the desire to watch SAW 1.
