The news of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro uniting for longer than a café table scene on the big screen is always exciting. Directed by Jon Avnet (Red Corner) Righteous Kill is a cop drama that sees the dynamic pair as NYPD partners in crime.

Written by Russell Gewirtz (Inside Man) the film co stars the delicious Carla Gugino (Sin City, Watchmen), Brian Dennehy (First Blood) rapper 50 cent and John Leguizamo (Summer of Sam).

The “R” rated Red band trailer below promises some explosive thrills, but the release date for this thing has changed a number of times and the studio seems to have sat on it fo ran abnormal amount of time. Still there have been good films to come from that situation so let’s hope for the best. Seeing these to legends on the screen backed by the Stones Sympathy for the Devil is always going to be cool.
