While I probably won't watch it, and it doesn't really interest me beyond posting it, Queen Rania of Jordan is launching a YouTube channel to tackle the world's perception of the Arab world.
Oh, Queen Rania... in my mind, the most beautiful monarch in the world, and I haven't even seen the other queens yet.
It's not just her physical attractiveness that makes me aflutter, either. Rania is a well-known advocate of women's rights and has worked with quite a few charitable organizations to improve education and human rights.
She's a perfect example of a monarch that cares about people, and it shows in her family life. She's a devoted mother that seems delighted when her children are around.
Rania's YouTube channel hopes to clarify some of the misconceptions about Islam and the Arab world, with the intent of providing a global discussion.
"The YouTube channel invites viewers to give their opinions of the Middle East and talk about stereotyped images they may have of Arabs and Muslims.
"In a world where it's so easy to connect to one another, we still remain very much disconnected," Rania said on her Web site. "There's a whole world of wonder out there that we cannot appreciate with stereotypes.""
Wow... sounds like an interesting project. Forget what I said earlier - I'm going to watch the channel. Let's see what Rania's up to...
