Michael Cera raped on Camera?

Michael Cera The Terrified Guest
Ok so maybe not penetration, but still Arrested Development’s Michael Cera (Superbad, Juno) being interviewed by comedian Zach Galifianakis does involve some inappropriate fondling.
The clip posted on funnyordie.com has met with laughs but also dismay. Maybe it was all pre planned, but the look on an obviously disturbed Cera’s face appears genuine, then again he is an exceptional straight man. In the studio on the pretence of promoting the film Superbad, instead Michael squirms and wriggles while being subjected to ridicule and some risqué tiggling torture.
The horror of the clip really is that Cera is pretty naive to the whole publicity game and unsure how to react to the intrusive physicality and snide mimicry. A more seasoned actor could well have played off it but the seemingly quiet and unassuming star just wants to get out of there.
The Show is called “Between Two Ferns”, hosted by the openly gay actor Zach Galifianakis who appeared in films like Below and Into the Wild as well as Reno 911 the series and the Sarah Silverman show.
Zach’s humour is meant to inhabit the same edgy, go-to-far lexicon as Sarah Silverman and maybe here he has gone to far. Still couldn’t help giggling at the bold as brass antics that seem callous on the surface. This is not the sort of stuff you will ever see on tamer fare like Letterman, Leno or Conan.
Judge for yourself and watch the Michael Cera interview here.

It really is uncomfortable to watch isn't it. Shamefully unprofessional.

I'm not so sure its staged, the only reason I suggest it is that Cera is great at playing the victim.

I really didn't like it. It didn't look staged to me, if it was, it was convincing and still not funny at all.
