Mia Farrow offers her freedom in exchange for a rebel's life

Mia Farrow, notable actress and activist, has written a letter to Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir.

That's pretty spectacular in itself. When was the last time you wrote a letter? After email, posting a snail mail letter seems antiquated, bordering on a ridiculous luxury of time.

In the letter, Farrow offers her own freedom in exchange for Suleiman Jamous, a local rebel that helped to bring negotiations to Sudan.

From the letter:

"I am therefore offering to take Mr Jamous's place, to exchange my freedom for his in the knowledge of his importance to the civilians of Darfur and in the conviction that he will apply his energies toward creating the just and lasting peace that the Sudanese people deserve and hope for."

I wonder what she'd do if the Sudanese President took her up on that offer? I'm a fan of Farrow, and if I were the President, and I had to incarcerate her in a Sudanese prison, I'd get her out of there and force her to lead a life of pampered luxury, being fed grapes and walking on rose petals. Let's see her get out of that!

I am a fan of Mia Farrow and i am pretty sure if he took her up on the offer she would be on the next plane and into jail....hopefully for once the Paparazzi could do some good and follow her there for the cause....... Good on her, someone using star power for good, instead of trashy headlines, that's 2 in 1 day....WOW
