Knowing First Trailer
Australian Director Alex Proyas came out strong with his feature film debut The Crow, a comic book noir that existed in an adults only world long before it was popular. His follow up the modern day Sci Fi classic Dark City was later mimicked by the inferior Matrix and still feels fresh and original.
Showing loads of potential he was a Director to watch, until his third film came out, the atrocious Garage. His fourth effort was even less impressive the Will Smith sacrelige of I, Robot.
Now it seems he may have found a story worthy of his skills in the film Knowing. Originally slated to be helmed by Donnie Darko master Richard Kelly, this intriguing premise has gone through several incarnations since its script first excited Hollywood years ago.
This week we get out first glimpses of the finished product with the premiere of the Teaser Trailer. Summing up the plot with a minimal of spoilers, a school teacher played by Nic Cage digs up a time capsule with his class and discovers a prophetic sheet of paper. On it a young child from 1959 has foretold all the natural disasters for the last 50 years and a clue for impending tragedy has revealed itself.
Knowing co stars the delectable Aussie actress Rose Byrne, Ben Mendelson and a host of other Australian thespians aiming to make it in a big budget Hollywood extravaganza.
