Jimmy Page likes the Wailers

A great classic photo was displayed on If Charlie Parker Was a Gunslinger: a photo of a young Jimmy Page proudly displaying a Wailers album.
He's thrilled to have some Bob Marley on record, and why shouldn't he be? Black music inspired Led Zeppelin to the point of plagarism, with some critics complaining that the band ripped off too many songs and didn't give enough credit.
Well, Robert Plant gave him a little tribute in 2007 when Page won the Living Legends award:
...but the magic powers of YouTube allows us to go waaaay back, way back to the 50s, when Page was 14 and playing on TV, where he mentioned that he wanted to go to school and study biological research, almost robbing the world of "Stairway to Heaven", for better or for worse.

Stairway To Heaven at ear splitting levels everyday for months on end in the late 60s then the question of Jimmy Page becoming a scientist may have been one girl's dream.
