Homer gives the Tonight Show Monologue

Usually, the monologue would be delivered by Jay Leno, with his big chin, jutting sardonically into your living room as he ploys his mediocre comedy.
Instead, as some follow-up hype for the new Simpsons Movie (which, according to reviewers, is quite good... is this sincerity or bribery?), Homer Simpson lays out the monologue, in his classic moron style.
Er... it's not that funny. At least, it's not meant to be funny, with the knowing audience laughing at the fact that Homer is so predictably unfunny. I'm not sure I can laugh at that.
Is this good tidings or bad? I really, truly want the Simpsons Movie to be good, like those old, forgotten days of season three (and four). Maybe even five?
