Gwyneth Paltrow Destroys Chris Martin's Computer

Gwyneth Paltrow nearly single-handedly delayed production of Coldplay's next album.
While at home in London, Paltrow knocked over Chris Martin's computer which had new Coldplay songs stored on it. It resulted in the outer casing being damaged and made turning the computer on difficult.
A source was quoted in saying that "the hinges broke and the screen was hanging off. It wouldn't turn on. Chris does a lot of work on there and the computer is his baby."
It doesn't sound like Gwynie just tripped over a plug and caused it to fall. It sounds much more sinister than an innocent accident. Maybe she was tired of playing second fiddle to the music. Maybe she did it because Chris Martin didn't let her name the baby Broccoli.
Anyway, the computer's fine and all the files are intact so Coldplay fans can stop freaking out. But it makes me wonder, how can Chris Martin not back up his work? I mean, isn't that like the first rule for all writers and artists, that you should always keep a copy of your work?
