After 2 years of delays getting distribution this cultural comedy of social relevance seems to be heading towards a release at least in the U.S.
Directed by Griffin Dunne, the star of Martion Scorsese's After Hours and the comedy Horror An American Werewolf in London, Fierce People is about a teenager named Finn Earl (Anton Yelchin) who wants to go live with his father in tribal South America. Instead he is forced to join his mother (Diane Lane) and her wealthy lover (Donald Sutherland) in an obscene world of oppulence.
Deciding to do an anthropological study of money, greed and the self serving rituals attached to the lifestyle soon young Finn discovers that tribal barbarism and socially acceptable horrors thrive in a supposedly civilized environment.
