Ellen Page - Future Femme Chameleon
After Ellen page’s Letterman appearance last night I’m inspired to do a post about this interesting actress. Not that anything special was revealed in the interview, but I do get the impression she is quite a cluey girl. More important she seems to have a unique world perspective that always makes for more complex characterizations.

Making her acting debut on a Canadian kids Television show called Pit Pony in 1997. Ellen’s breakthrough role came as Hayley Stark in the double handed thriller Hard Candy. A film that pits Page against an internet predator who lures her into his lair.
Acting beyond her years she proved her focused ability and maturity, that same year she appeared in the brutal UK production Mouth to Mouth as a shaved headed cult member whose innocence is seduced.
After appearing in X-Men 3 as Kitty Pryde, she again caught the eye of critics in the gritty thriller An American Crime (2007). Based on a true story Ellen plays opposite Catherine Keener, again takes on a harrowing part this time as a teen kept prisoner by a crazed suburban mother.
Her latest effort Juno has received stellar buzz and awards season notice. The film was nominated for 3 Golden Globes and a host of Critics Choice Awards, with Best Actress included.
In this comedy drama Ellen plays Juno, a quirky teen who falls pregnant and decides on adoption. Directed by Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking) and co starring Michael Cera and Jason Bateman from Arrested Development, the edgy comedy guarantees I will be there opening day.
Juno is released in Australia on January 17 2008.
