The original Death Race 2000 starring Sylvester Stallone and David Carradine was petrol injected trash that exploited all manner of socially irresponsible mayhem…and it rocked!
The Hollywood production line continues, churning out yet another remake with Jason Statham (Snatch, Lock Stock and two Smoking Barrels) starring in Death Race. Directed By Paul W.S Anderson (Event Horizon, Resident Evil, Mortal Combat) in the new “R” rated Red Band trailer we get to see destructive carnage to the pumping wails of Guns N Roses Welcome to the Jungle.

Oscar nominee Joan Allen dropping the co*& sucking “F” bomb and Ian McShane being Deadwood cool. This looks like it may possibly be more mindless than the original so I’m not optimistic, but the clips below to have their charms.

What's with the colours on all these modern action films? It's all grey and sepia - that's how we make 'gritty' movies, now? Or does that make the CGI easier to blend?
