Christie Brinkley Separates From 4th Husband

Did you know that Christie Brinkley has been married FOUR times? I don't even know why people are making such a big deal about J.Lo now, who has only been married three times.
So yeah, I'm pretty sure Christie Brinkley will be getting a fifth husband or something because she just ditched her fourth husband, Peter Cook. Her publicist, Elliot Mintz, has confirmed that they have separated.
Brinkley, who is 52 years old, is most recently seen on TV commercials for CoverGirl where she claims that she is in 'the best place she's ever been' (in terms of age). She and Cook have been married (until recently) since 1996 and have a daughter.
More matrimonial history, Brinkley was previously married to Frenchman Jean-François Allaux, singer Billy Joel (whom with she had another daughter) and developer Richard Taubman (and here, another son).
"Her immediate concern is for her children, and she's hoping during this obviously difficult time that people will be kind enough to respect her privacy," Mintz said.
It pretty much baffles me that she would go through 3 failed marriages and producing a child for each of them and here she is saying that her primary concern is her children. I'm drawing my own conclusions here, but will people ever learn that having children won't solve a problematic relationship? Or at least stop having kids if you know you're the Queen of Serial Marriages.
