Beowulf - the restricted trailer

Beowulf - the violence and the nudity.
Thats right kiddies, the new trailer for Director Robert Zemeckis' (Back to the Future, Roger Rabbit, Romancing the Stone) Beowulf is an over 18 years affair. The reason is that it features glimpses of Angelie Jolie nudity fully rendered in 3D CGI, plus there is some violence near the end of the clip.
Whether the film will actually be R Rated, I dont know (doubt it for commercial reasons) but with writers Neil Gaiman (Mirrormask, Sandman) and Roger Avery (Pulp Fiction, Killing Zoe) its certain to challenge the censors.
I'm undecided on this one mainly because I love the source material so much. The CGI heavy style appears to detracts from the impact and the all star cast means that it will be hard to believe them as the characters (Though Crispin Glover as Grendell is a saving grace)...let's hope the finished product is better than these early images.

He looks too young ..?! But I guess that's the magic of CGI, right?
