Batman gets a Japanese Influence
While we all eagerly await the return of Christian Bale in Director Christopher Nolan’s sequel to Batman Begins released on July 17th, there is another equally exciting adventure for the dark superhero on the way.
The savvy people at Warner Brothers have are also behind a straight to DVD animated film swinging into homes in July. Batman Gotham Knight is a feature length film told in six parts.
Each segement is Directed by a different cutting edge Manga/Anime artists. The men in control are Yasuhiro Aoki (Neon Genesis Evangelion), Futoshi Higashide (Project A-Ko 2: Daitokuji zaibatsu no inbô) Toshiyuki Kubooka (Project A) Hiroshi Morioka (hack//SIGN) and Shoujirou Nishimi (Mind Game).

“Anime-inspired direct-to-DVD anthology film. Comprised of six short stories, from diverse creators, including Academy Award-nominated Josh Olsen (A History of Violence), Batman Begins writer David S. Goyer, and comics scribe Brian Azzarello. It's planned for a release window of two to four weeks prior to the release of The Dark Knight, and would bridge the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.”
Returning after being the voice of the fantastic Batman Animated series, Kevin Conroy plays the caped crusade and his secret identity Bruce Wayne. Cult British Actor David McCallum (The Man From U.N.C.L.E) adds his vocal chords to Alfred and Gary Dourdan (C.S.I) will be the Detective Crispin Allen.
