Remaking the classic Delmar Davis (Jubal, Dark Passage) Directed, Van Hefflin (Shane) vs Glen Ford (Jubal) western from 1957 was always going to be a big ask. The psychologically tempered Elmore Leonard (Jackie Brown, Hombre) story ranks as one of the finest, tension filled dramas ever made.
The new version is helmed by James Mangold (Identity, Copland) and stars Christian Bale (The Last Emperor, American Psycho) as the good guy rancher while Russell Crowe (The Insider) plays the outlaw who's men are looking to break him from his captor. Waiting for the 3:10 Train to Yuma the claustrophobic suspense builds as the pair struggle to survive in a hotel room.
